Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic ‘Schuman declaration’ that set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe’s nations unthinkable.
Students from our school took part in a tree-planting activity in an area affected by the devastating wildfires of the summer, near Lake Ziros. In a place where nature was severely tested, we chose to send a message of hope and regeneration.
With enthusiasm, cooperation, and a strong sense of responsibility, the students became young “ambassadors” of the environment, proving that change begins with each one of us. Every tree planted is a promise for a greener and more sustainable future.
